About the Association
The Association was formed in 1899 making it one of the oldest in Scotland. It has gone through many changes since inception including the recent name change from Blairgowrie Merchants Association to 'The Blairgowrie & Rattray Association' (BARBA) in May 2014.
Any business in Blairgowrie and Rattray is welcome to join and help us not only to promote each other but to grow the vibrant high street and town.
We promote our members to local residents and visitors via the Discover Blairgowrie website and via the quarterly Hub magazine which is delivered to households by volunteers in the community.
We are also on Facebook where we highlight Association news and promote member news or offers to the wider member and non-member community.
Our meetings are published on this website and all businesses, members and non-members, are welcome to attend. To find out when the next meeting will be held, click here.
BARBA works closely with One Voice, Discover Blairgowrie, The Ericht Trust and the Blairgowrie & East Perthshire Tourist Association. Together we aim to promote our town and local area.
We’d like to hear from you. Please contact us with any issues, concerns or ideas on how we can improve our town.
